An engaging, authentic story connects people in a way they relate to and remember. enabling them to see, hear and understand who you are and what differentiates you from your competitors. Relate to you. You offer them that's unique from other businesses. Better. If there are five pet food stores on my block, why should I shop at your store? Stories are created from truth/facts, but facts are not as memorable. What makes you different? Are you a business based on low pricing? Are you focused on quality, non-GMO ingredients? Are you a place where pets have FUN? Are you driven to give back to your community, supporting local causes like pet adoptions and ? Know your story. Own/embrace it. Share it.

Your story is about what you actually do and who you really are -- and it will resonate with people who are looking for what you have to offer. So whatever your story is, it's imperative that your customers and clients easily understand it. If you want to draw your "tribe" to your business, then you have to show them who you are in every single thing you say and do -- especially in your communications. That includes words, colors, images. Most people don't like to have facts spit them, especially when the facts aren't unique to your brand.
